Nepali Pathshala of Maryland, established in 2019, runs classes aligned with the Montgomery County Public Schools calendar. Held at a local MCPS school, it serves over 100 students across all proficiency levels, teaching Nepali language while also fostering cultural understanding.
Community‑driven leadership & hands‑on learning
Operated entirely by volunteer teachers and parents, the Pathshala builds a nurturing, communal learning space.
Language, culture, confidence
Alongside language lessons, the school organizes annual events, cultural functions, and showcases to build children’s skills and confidence while celebrating Nepali traditions—such as performances at community gatherings and Diwali celebrations.
2025–26 Academic Year
Classes follow the MCPS schedule—starting late August and concluding mid‑June, with all county-observed holidays and breaks honored. Registration for the 2025-26 academic year is now open.
