“Holika Dahan” is a Hindu festival in which a bonfire is lit to celebrate the burning of the demoness, Holika. This ritual is symbolic of victory of good over evil.

The Monthly Shree Satyanarayan Puja will be conducted at the NECC temple on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 at 5:30 PM. Shree Swasthani Brat Katha Samapti Puja will also be conducted the same day followed by Satyanarayan Puja. All members of our community and devotees are cordially invited to participate. Prasad will be served afterwards.
Looking forward to your presence. If you’re unable to attend Satyanarayan Puja in person, you can participate virtually by providing your family members name and gotra to temple priest who will kindly chant names on your family behalf during the Puja.

Saraswati Puja
Join us at the Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC) for Saraswati Pooja, also known as Basanta Panchami, a celebration dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and learning. The event will feature traditional puja with prayers and offerings, a kids’ creative corner with free Saraswati Mata coloring activity, an alphabet learning ceremony for little ones, and prasad distribution after puja. Puja thali will be available for purchase at $11, and while there is no fee for the puja, donations are appreciated.

Swasthani Brata katha
Join Us for the Swasthani Brata Katha – January 13 to February 12, 2025
We invite you to participate in the Swasthani Brata Katha, starting on January 13, 2025, and continuing through February 12, 2025. The katha will be held daily at 6:00 PM EST, with the Bisarjan Puja on the final day.
You can join us in person or stream the event live via our Facebook page.
