Welcome to the Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC)

Since 2000, the Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC), has been a cornerstone for the Nepali-American community. Our mission is to empower individuals by preserving and promoting Nepal’s rich cultural, linguistic, and spiritual heritage. NECC conceptually came into existence in 1983 to then executives of Association of Nepalese in America (ANA) and started as a pilot project in 1987.

Our Offerings

Spiritual and Religious Services:

  • Regular pujas, Buddha prayers, and chanting sessions at the Pashupati-Buddha Mandir.
  • Puja services available at devotees’ homes.
  • Celebrations of major festivals such as Shiva Ratri, Teej, Vijaya Dashami, Deusi-Bhailo during Tihar, Krishna Janmastami, Holi, and Ganesh Chaturthi.

Educational Initiatives:

  • Nepali Pathshala classes to teach language and cultural values to younger generations.
  • Internship opportunities for students to gain real-world experience.

Wellness Programs:

  • Yoga and meditation sessions and health workshops to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Free health clinics to support community health.

Community Engagement:

  • Community vegetable garden
  • Hall, room, and space rental for private events
  • Workshops aimed at empowering community members.
  • Volunteer opportunities to encourage community involvement.
  • Sports programs such as volleyball, tennis etc.
  • Meet and greet events with distinguished personalities.
