Let’s Work Together to Build a New Buddha Podium

Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC) is committed to nurturing spiritual growth and preserving cultural heritage. As you are aware, NECC successfully built a Buddha podium at our previous location in Beallsville, MD. As we’ve relocated to a bigger and more accessible venue, we are committed to rebuilding this sacred space. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the donors, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed to the previous podium. Your continued support is invaluable as we embark on this new chapter.

Our new location offers an opportunity to create a serene and dignified space for the Buddha statue, where community members and visitors can practice meditation, reflection, and ceremonies. This sacred podium will enhance our mission to promote peace and enlightenment, allowing individuals to connect deeply with their spiritual roots in a tranquil environment.

Buddha Podium Project Cost: $115,000

  • Metal Work and Railings: $40,000

How You Can Contribute

Join us in creating a lasting legacy by participating in our fundraising initiatives:

  1. Mane Purchase Thank you to those who have already purchased manes that will be installed on the railings of the new podium as shown in the 3D picture above. Each mane allows you to inscribe a name or a short message underneath. We have a total of 108 manes, with only a few remaining.
    We no longer offer Mane Purchase. All manes have been purchased. 
  1. Special Brata to Build Clay Chaityas Participate in a group Brata with your family and friends and build clay chaityas. Each chaitya will be placed inside the Buddha statue and they will remain there forever, creating a collective offering of peace and mindfulness.

         Goal: 21,000 clay chaityas

  1. Brick(or/Block) Purchase Leave a permanent mark by purchasing bricks or blocks to be installed on the podium’s wall, engraved with a message or name of your choice.

      Price: 

  • $200 per 4 x 8 sq. inch size brick/block
    $300 per 8 X 8 sq. inch size brick/block

     Goal: 500 bricks

  1. Customized donation If you are interested in making donations that don’t fit above described plans, please let us know. We will be happy to come up with a special recognition plan that aligns with your donations.
